  1. I am also taking the math test on December 16. Good luck to you and anyone else taking it!
  2. Thanks for taking the time to reply. So back to my original question... Which of these private schools or for profit schools, that offer accelerated bsn, are highly regarded in the San Diego area? So far I have found mt. Saint Mary's in Los Angeles, but again, it is hard to know which schools have great reputations without being on the other side as a hiring manager.
  3. How is your search going? I know out here in southern CA, most places want one year of experience doing injectables, so maybe it would help to work for less pay to get the experience. Out here I have never heard of ma's or lvns doing injectables...only RN's, NPs or PA's. My goal is also aesthetic nursing so I definitely appreciate any feedback or tips that you have!:)
  4. Hi everyone, So I want to do an accelerated bsn route as I already have a b.a. I still need to take anatomy, physiology, micro and 1 or 2 more classes depending on the universities criteria for the pre-nursing core. I live in San Diego,CA and would prefer to stay here but would go to UCLA if god willing I was accepted. Anyways. I have heard that for-profit schools are known for being messy and held in a lesser regard compared to CSU schools. I'm trying to figure out if it would be better to finish the nursing precore which would take about a year if I can attend summer school, and then continue to nursing school for 15 months to become an RN OR if there are any for profit or private nursing schools that accept on a rolling admission that DO have a good reputation and good job placement...? Anyone know of anything? I'm 26 so I would like to get started sooner than later BUT I do realize that it may be worth the wait for a public nursing school. Thoughts ?
