PRIORITIZING

So Im reviewing a lot of material so i can take my NCLEX soon. and Im using the SAUNDERS review books I got from my school. Unfortunately there is barely or NO info on how to answer Q's regarding which client you should see first in different situations. What books/websites would you recommend that I study to study these PRIORITY Q's better?

Based on a lot of people's post, the book Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment by Linda Lacharity is a must! I haven't bought it yet but will definitely buy it as soon as I'm done reading Saunders for content, which I'm almost done with.

The Linda LaCharity book on prioritization is the one that is used by most, now in its second edition.

I heard about that book. Im not taking the NCLEX RN.. im taking PN so do you think reading that would be ok since the delegation part wouldnt apply to LVN's

if you want to use the lacharity book and make it apply to the Pn role, then the questions that ask what the RN would delegate to LPN, reword the question in your mind to ask..."what can be assigned to ME?" for questions that refer to what the RN can do...reword it and think "which of these must I let the RN do, and should not be doing" all in all if you know the role of LPN, RN, and Nursing assistant then you will be able to anwer delegation questions. Know what to expect the RN to delegate to you, and what you would delegate to the Aide.
