Prepping for Pre-Reqs

Published

I'm starting pre-reqs in the fall.

I want to brush up on my science and math skills now. It's been a whiile since I've been in a science or math class.

Anybody want to suggest any books? I've got the whole ". . . for Dummies" thing going on and the ". . . . Demystified" series as well.

Any others you suggest as primers/refreshers?

Any "Basic" or "Elementary" Biology, Chemistry and Algebra books. Go to your local library and check some out. Or go to your college's Learning Resource Center for informaton and assistance.

Specializes in Operating Room.

I agree with stpauligirl...definitely utilize the library...the actual school books will make you spend enough money. :lol2:

Do Google searches for science quizzes, anatomy, etc.

I found pics on Mitosis, tissue slides, etc, printed them out & made flash cards. The more you see, the more you will learn & be able to identify things.

With math, the more problems you work, the better you'll be.

Good luck!
