I have the guide and have started going through it but was hoping to get more one on one help with prepping. Number 2... can anyone give advice on what I should focus on for the test? Any words of wisdom?? It looks like there are only 64 seats available for the program next fall and I am STRESSED that I won't do well enough on the test to land a spot in the program. HELP!!!!

From My experience:: Study the guide, and study the guide some more, The test is all from the guide, When I took the test I saw some questions that were the same from the guide.... So Good luck and study, study and study!!!

The study guide is identical to the test. If you can pass the practice tests you can pass the NET. If you are having trouble with any of the math post it here and I will try and help you. For the reading I always read the question before the passage. I've found that helps me concentrate on what I need to be looking for.

Also, do a search for NET on this site. You will be able to read what others have had to say as well. Most of this info will be found in the Pre-Nursing Student Forum:

Ahhh I was having trouble find the Pre Nursing section... Thank you!!!!

I actually asked my husband to re-teach me all the elementary math and basic algebra. I had him take me through step by step and he made me some worksheets with practice problems. I probably can't lone you him, but maybe you have a friend or loved one who can do the same for you. I am definitely math challenged and need someone to patiently explain it all to me or I just won't get it.

Math drives me crazy because there is never an anwer to "Why?" other than "Just because." Oh, OK, now I get it, thanks!?!?!

I also made sure to read as much as possible before taking the NET simply to quickly boost my reading speed and comprehension somewhat.

Hi there! Can you please tell me which study guide you're referring to, and where I can order it?? Thx!!

Funny you should say that... I was thinking about getting a tutor from my daughter's school to go over the Math with me... I did my placement testing for the college and almost fell over when I saw the algebra.. do you KNOW how long it's been since I did that??

I've seen alot of posts about getting the reading up to speed, I will be sure to focus on that as well. Did you do the practice tests beforehand, or read the study guide?
