Hello,
I am starting LPN school in April!!! Just wondering if there is anything I can do before classes start to prepare myself? I feel like I'm just sitting at home waiting to start classes. I am a stay at home mom and when I put the kiddies to bed at night I feel restless. Any advice would be great!
Thanks

You could always brush up on your medical terminology or A&P. I got an anatamy coloring book before school and found that VERY helpful. It went a lot more indepth than we did in school, but it gave me more insight into what we were learning and made it easier for me to understand. Good luck!!

Check out websites, do practice quizzes, etc

Brush up on basic math, check out an old anatomy & physiology book from your local library and read it, or study the prefixes and suffixes of medical terminology. Good luck and enjoy school.

Get your ducks lined up and shoot them...
Childcare arranged and emergency backup set up.
Cook and freeze food.
Plan your route there and an alternate route there in case of traffic accidents.
Arrange alternate financing incase your student loans aren't enough.
Read alot of stuff that you want. Because once school starts and the kids start missing you and you feel guilty for being at school and doing all your homework you aren't going to have YOU time. (I had 2 kids and a husband out of the country for part of my training time, so I speak from experience)
Bubblebaths, trashy novels, walk the dog.
Enjoy your freedom
Thank you for the great advice!!! I was updating my husband on my question to all of you and he came home from the Book store with "Anatomy and Physciology for DUMMIES!" :chuckle
