Preparing for my preceptorship...what to do??

I just accepted a job offer and will be starting my work as a staff RN on monday. It is my very first RN job here in the US and i have no idea what happens during preceptorship. Any tips or any advice? Thanks

I will be working at clinical decision unit of the hospital....

They will just be orienting you to the unit.... you will shadow a preceptor who will be there to answer any questions and just teach you the ins and the outs of your floor. Most orientations last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks, although for experienced nurses they can be shorter. Use the time to learn and ask questions! Have fun, and congrats on the job!

You have been preparing for your preceptorship for years. All those clinicals, labs, classes, and hopefully jobs were the preparation.

If you worked hard and took the work seriously during the years you were doing the above, you are perfectly prepared.
