Pre-Requisites for an Accelerated BSN

Hello. I am looking to do my pre-reqs for an accelerated BSN program. I'm having alot of difficulty finding a school that has availability for a&p. I've called multiple CUNY schools and they are all telling me the chance of getting into a&p is very very slim. I checked the schedule of classes for almost all the cuny schools and they are all filled!!!

Can you reccomend any schools that will have availability for a non-degree student? How did you deal with this? I'm desperate at this point.

Thanks in advance!

I'm lucky I guess because I am completing my prereqs here in FL before I move north, not too much trouble getting into A&P here. But you might want to consider doing A&P online, even microbiology too. I know there is one school in NJ that enables you to do both lecture and labs online (click this link and go to Science section, there is also a link for the course syllabus: http://www.ocean.edu/academics/distance_learning/DistanceLearningCoursesforFall2009.htm). Not sure what accelerated program you're going to, but if you're headed for a CUNY school for your BSN you might as well keep trying to get into a CUNY school for your prereqs because they are requiring at least a semester's coursework at the school before applying to their programs anyway. Have you tried SUNY schools? Westchester CC and Nassau CC are also options even though they might require a commute but at least you might have a better chance at getting in. If worse comes to worst, you can always complete the courses at a private college.

ADDING: I am editing my post because I just discovered that you can also take prereqs online through the SUNY Learning Network, that's another option, see here: http://sln.suny.edu/index.html
