I would say google is your friend in this case. CA is a very impacted state and it will be hard to find one with no wait list.

I would question any school that DOESN'T have a wait list for prereqs in CA. There would be a reason those schools are being avoided.

Every school I've seen in CA has wait lists, that's just how it is. Do the best you can, try to get priority registration, etc.

online would be a great option, but you're in Cali...most reputable nursing programs in Cali will not accept online coursework. If you wanted to attend nursing school in another state, you might have some wiggle room. I did the majority of my prereqs online, including sciences, and was accepted to a fully accredited university's nursing program in FL.

Be sure to find the community college in your area - you will be considered within district and get an earlier date than those who do not live in the area. Start taking any classes you can - the more classes you have, the higher up the list you will be and get priority registration. Get on wait lists and show up on the first day of class. Be flexible - take classes when they are open. I was able to get all my first option classes up here in Pasadena my first semester back. Every semester will get better and easier to get the classes you need.
