Practical Hairstyle?

Hello Fellow Nurses!

Well, I'm a Student that is about to enter the clinical area for the very first time (In January) and i was wondering about you experienced nurses, how do you do your hair? what is the best way to keep it? And the fastest to setup each day?

My hair is curly and is long and i'm considering cutting it very short (the pixie cut perhaps?) but still i want to look as clean and neat as possible and at the same time to do it very quick each morning.

As always the school is asking me to have my hair without touching my coat for obvious reasons (I use the traditional white uniform because of my school), so what's the best way?

Thank you in advance.:nurse::yeah::heartbeat

I cut my hair off before nursing school started... I'm into my 2nd long semester, and hating it now. I look at the women who can just pull their hair up into a bun/twist/clip and am envious. My hair's not that much hassle, just some gel/setting lotion in the mornings, but still... ::sigh::

When I was in clinicals for my CNA program, I kept my hair up in a bun that I made with a ponytail holder. There's also a product I love called a "Spin Pin." It's made by Goody, and it's two corkscrew looking bobby pins. You twist your hair up into a bun, twist the spin pin through one side and the second one through the other, and you've got a secure bun that lasts.

I have long hair down my back. I do a bun, french braids, up dos, etc. I always keep it off my neck, because I don't want it flying in wounds or feces. I had long hair through out. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube for hairstyles.

I always meant to try the Spin Pin. Thanks for the reminder.

I have long hair, which I keep controlled in a ponytail and a headband.

My hair is long, curly and fluffy. I usually use the hair straightening brush to style it. It doesn`t damage hair much and makes my locks smooth and shiny. You can find such brushes here: Best Hair Straightener 2
