Post partum interview

Hey all!! I have an interview on Monday with a post partum unit. I am a new grad and I am extremely nervous about this interview. I really want to get it as maternity and neonatal nursing is where I want to be. Any tips? I'm focusing on how teachable I am, my passion for maternity, and the company's outreach to under served women and families. Any other suggestions? Thanks you in advance!!

I'm glad you cleared that up. I had visions of an overly keen student rushing in to interview the new mother before the placenta was delivered. :roflmao:

Made me look!

Good Luck with your interview, Jhoonosorio!

Be prepared for a behavioral interview. Those pesky "tell me about a time you"... questions.

You may also be asked scenario questions. Read up on the 10 most common complications and practice visualizing how you would respond to the crisis.

Good luck, let us know how it went!

I had my interview and I didn't get the job.

But I'm okay with it. I really prepared for it, but eventually nerves took over and I became timid.

However I'm using it as a learning experience and I've already sent out my thank you cards to the interviewers.

Thank you for the tip!

It was behavioral questions and even the interviewer stated that these would be very difficult for a new grad to answer.
