Just looked at the individual course fees, they do seem to be too good to be true, certainly less than at other schools. The portage system comes under Geneva College, who issues the transcripts. They say the school is accredited, so I don't see where it would be a problem, but as with all transfer courses, I suppose one should check with the school they intend to transfer to, to make certain.
I used portage for Chem w/lab, Lifespan psych, and nutrition. I finished each class in approximately 3-4 weeks. They're seperated into modules and you have exams after each one. I thought it was very much worth the money. They also have study aids and a 24 hour hotline if you're having problems. Transcript requests are free. I'd 100% recommend it!
The Chem with the lab had two components. A lecture portion and a lab portion, where you would watch the instructor perform one or two experiments and you would take a lab quiz after watching the videos. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
Thank you! I am going to Regis College in Weston, Ma. They will accept them. Did you take the Statistics or the CHM 108? I need to take those for the summer and was wondering how they were? Thanks!
I didn't take either of those courses. The program I will be starting didn't require them. I can imagine they are all structured the same way, which for me was very easy to navigate and learn from. I would print out all the modules and organize all the material in a binder, that way you have the information to study from.

Has anyone used portage learning for their BSN prerequisites?
I'm currently in an ADN program and I want to get some prerequisites done online. This program claims they are accredited and let you learn at your own pace.
Has anyone used it?
It almost sounds too good to be true.
