pls help me confused!!!!

ok,,,so pls soomebody pls correct me if i am wrong,,,,the idea i have right now is that in a disaster the nurse rescues the most stable patient first and when it comes to hospital triage the nurse looks first at the most unstable patient depending an abc's....IS THIS CORRECT????i am all confused,,,somebody plllsssss help me out here.....

Take a deep breath and relax. Seems like the right way to look at it. Spend some time looking for written acknowledgement but don't waste too much time. Go on to the next subject.

In disaster triage you want to take care of the pt's most likely to survive with critical injuries first, those patients marked red, patients that can wait an hour or so are seen second and are tagged yellow and minor injuries that can be assessed last are green. In hospital triage you see the most critical pt first regardless of wether or not they can be saved. Does this make sense?

you're welcome, and also, I forgot to add, if they have life threatening injuries and probably won't survive they are tagged black and provided palliative care in disaster triage.
