Hello everyone,
I am starting to use KAPLAN NCLEX-RN review on demand.
Here is my score; diagnostic test...57% QT1...55% QT2...63%
I am very scared because of my score... One said to me, " You should get over 70-80%." However each question was very difficult for me and there were many words which I did not know or unfamiliar.
I do not have enough time, and I can not wait to take NCLEX till I get such high score... I do not when I will be ready to take and pass NCLEX...
Need some advice and someone's experience...
Thank you

Avoid focusing on the score, the score is not going to guarantee passing or failing the NCLEX. I have heard of people getting in the high 60's-70's failing the NCLEX.Instead, focus on the the questions you get wrong, find out why you got it wrong (strategy or content) and work on improving that area. I honestly believe that the key to passing is doing a lot of questions and reviewing the rationales. I averaged in the mid 50's on my QTs and I passed the NCLEX with 75 questions. So avoid looking at the scores and focus on the the strategies and content.

I've never heard anyone say you should be getting 70-80% on Kaplan..The Kaplan book and Kaplan reps say to aim for 65% on diagnostic and QT1-5, and 60% on the readiness test, qbank overall, and QT 6-7. Some people have even said that their Kaplan instructors said anything above 55% gave you a decent chance of passing nclex. And even so from what I've researched on here (and I've looked at a lot of kaplan threads lol!) most people scoring in the upper 50s-60s overall seem to pass. I've seen very very few people with scores in the 70s on the Qtrainers. I've heard a lot of people say Kaplan really recommends you scoring 60% or above on QT 6-7 since those are most like NCLEX...but I've seen plenty of people with lower scores who passed. Just relax and keep doing the questions and see how it goes. Here are my scores..I test friday..
Diagnostic: 66%
QT1: 67%
QT2: 61%
QT3: 56%
QT4: 63%
QT5: 56%
QT6: 68.5%
Readiness: 67%
Qbank (100% completed): 63%
Just read the rationales and realize why you are getting them wrong. If you feel that you need more content review the Saunders book is great as well!

I took Kaplan Anywhere Class last month, and they want you to try and achieve 65% on QT 4 & 5, aim for 60% on QT 6 & 7, and 60% cumulative on all Qbank questions. Hope that helps! And all passing level questions!
Thank you very much!! You guys' advices are very helpful. I am going to focus on doing practice and understanding contents.
