Hello again,
i have a few questions in order to create an idea of the demographic of members on AN....
1. What is your age and race?
2. What do you think about when you hear the word nurse?
3. When did you join AN? How did you hear about it?
4. What were your first impressions of AN?
5. What were three reasons you became a nurse?
Also, if you can tell me if it is okay if i use your screen name in my paper....if you have any questions message me or you can check out my classes blog...

3. when did you join an? how did you hear about it?
i joined last year when i was going for my cna. now, i am going for my lpn. i found an with google - i was searching for student nursing boards and found this site.
4. what were your first impressions of an?
i loved it! there are so many forums for different areas of nursing and geographic area, etc. i was impressed.
i am becoming a nurse because
* having grown up in a home with a terminal parent, i realized that nursing was more than just a job taking care of the sick. to me it is a job about helping people heal and lending your strength to someone else in their weakest hours.
* i enjoy taking care of people.
* i feel that god has blessed me with the intelligence, strength and fortitude to be an awesome nurse and touch lives positively as so many nurses have touched mine.
yes, you may use my name.

2. I get excited and feel needed and think of heros
3. I just joined today! I was doing research for a discussion in one of my nursing classes and found this site and loved it, so i joined!
4. It seems like a great way for nurses to communicate and share knowledge, great idea, everyone can use help at one time or another!
5. I am in nursing because I grew up next to a nursing home and became close to the residents. Also, I have always wanted to save everyone and nursing seems like the best way to do so. Finally, because my grandmother was a nurse back before there were RNs or any other type of certification or licences for nurses.
