Please help..?

Ok, so I have 3 weeks left of my first semester of nursing school. I am barely, barely getting by! I just don't know how to study anymore. I have tried relying solely on the book to no avail. I've tried relying solely on the powerpoint slides to no avail. I've tried practicing tons of practice questions still to no avail. I am running out of ideas of how to study or what to do? I know people say, "study the concepts." I mean I do! But, why is it not clicking? I have never done this bad in any of my other college courses. I read and read and honestly feel like it's a waste of time I could be doing other things that will actually help me on the exams. But what???? Any tips anybody can give me?! I would hate to fail nursing school on the first semester.

We have resources called adaptive quizzing. Takes the reading and formulated questions on it based on how well you do answering them. Pretty helpful because it causes you to draw more than just straight up knowledge. But, it may just take going over the information repeatedly for you to know the information.

Okay, first things first: how do you learn best? If it's not by reading, then studying and reading the textbook isn't your best path. Studying isn't about quantity; rather, it's about quality. Have you taken a learning styles inventory? Doing that and checking out the tips that work for your preferred learning style can increase the quality of your studying. My personal go-to learning styles inventory is the VARK questionnaire.

That's what I used for the last exam that I took and ended up failing it. I took all those practice quizzes until the questions started repeated themselves and I found no use for them after that. I don't know if I just memorized the actual question rather than the concept......

Interesting, let me try that. Let's see what learning style the questionnaire most likely pairs me up with. I'll try that for my test next week. I can't afford to fail it because it's game over for me. I want to do something about it now that it's still early in the week.
