Please HELP !!!!!!!!

Hi everyone!

I failed the first time i took the nlcex last April eventhough i took kaplan online and was even getting 50s and 60s in my Question trainer. I though Kaplan was enough for me but i was wrong..:o

Guys,could you please advice me what study materials do i have to use? Do i still have to read saunders compre book and kaplan coorifice book or go all the way to the cds? I am almost done with my saunders cd. I am now doing the exam cram cd. I still have the kaplan question trainer, nclex 3500 and lippincotte. OMG! i don't know if I should finish all those cds! I am confused.. I haven't decided when to take the nclex again because i am afraid i might fail again..

And for those who passed nclex, could you share some tips/techniques on how to answer and read the question in the nclex? We all know,nclex questions are tricky and confusing.

The only person who can determine what you need to do to prepare is you. We have no idea what your knowledge base is, how you learn, or how much effort you need to put into this. Do some self evaluation and come up with your study plan, then work your plan, and take the test. Good luck.

just a question, have you finished reading the Kaplan Course book from cover to cover? i feel that it is helping me tremendously.

continue to do the cd's, read the rationales(if they are offered) understand why the answer was chosen. Also, on the NCSBN web site they have a test plan for NCLEX exams (I would not print it all out, unless you want to, there are several pages). they give examples of potential questions, and when I reviewed it I realized that I did not understand how to do the math question that was given as an example, so I dug out my dosage calculation book and figured out how to do the problem, and luckily I did, it helped me on the exam. I believe that the test guide is from NCLEX '07, but it is still helpful.

It's hard to tell... everyone learns differently. I made notes from my old nursing books, books from the library and my nclex review and rationales book. I focused on information from all resoursces and compiled notes from all the books on Addisons, Cushings, all the stuff I felt I was weak in or bored from learning back in school. Step back, try and remember things you may not be a 100% familiar with and start there.
