I just took Kaplan review it is pricy but if you can find a group of people in your area you will get a discount. It will be still close to $360-400 but I believe it was worth it. Good luck.

yeah,right now im reading saunder's 3rd edition, im a foriegn graduate nurse from the philippines and i took nclex last year and unfortunately i failed... i did kaplan last yr. live review class and also online but i didn't make it! but kaplan is good! now,im following Suzanne plan's im doing her first tip... i heard so much of her study plan on this forum and they are all highly recommended because they passed using the book with Suzanne plan. thank you very much for the nice advise. I am going to the book store and buying the new addition of Saunder's. So according to you guys so this is the only book I should read or u want me to read some other also. My second question is how to memorise the all medication . Is there any tip for that Please tell me . Thank you all of u once again!

, only recommend the Saunder's book, it does the best job of explaining the rationales. All of my foreign students pass the first time with it and most do not have English as their primary language.

Kaplan charges more for the programs for foreign trained nurses, in the range of $600 plus and they do not give a refund if they do not pass the exam.

Than you very much Suzanne. I am glad to know that I gain some confidence, when I got ur messege. Is there any tip to remember all those medication because they are so many hard to keep in mind ? Do you want me to read all medication near by exam or start right now. I am really affraid. Is Saunder's the only book I should read or u want me to buy any other also ? I heard u have students , Iwant to be one of them.

I would ultimately have to defer with Suzanne when it comes to this subject but, I personally think you need both. I think Saunders is great for basics, especially if you're not familiar with U.S. Nursing.

But if you really want to feel confident with the most difficult NCLEX questions ... I would also go with Kaplan.

After taking the exam today, I feel that Saunders was helpful for basic review but Kaplan put it over the top. I know that a lot of people do fine with Saunders alone but, if I had relied upon that alone ... I don't think I personally could have tackled the more difficult questions as well without Kaplan.

Just my opinion, of course. Maybe it's just a question of confidence but, I feel Kaplan gets you there better than most. Their approach is to make the questions so difficult that, in a way, the NCLEX seems relatively easy. Whereas ... Saunders is a little too basic.

I say this after having done 4,000 Saunders questions before I got to Kaplan. When I actually took the exam ... it was much more similar to Kaplan than Saunders, IMO.
