If you do the LPN at Monroe you can stay for one more year and do the RN there as well. It's pricey but it's two years from start to finish pre-reqs included. It's very intense and you will be in school pretty much all day long from Mon-Fri.

Hey...I did get an interview but haven't received any acceptance yet. Also there was a little misunderstanding and I was told that it will weigh heavily on my application and that she will make sure that it will. So I'm counting it will. Oh well. Guess I'm really not meant to go to Svcmc. I still have other pending applications and I haven't received denials yet. Just have to wait and see.
Thanks for the support. I admire your determination. :heartbeat

LPN school should not be taken as a substitute, it can and will be just as intense if not more than RN school
hi stiltarget
I totally agree...LPN school is just a different route to where I want to go, but I do believe it is as intense as RN school. I'm in my last semester. All my prereqs will be completed by the end of this sem and I am graduating with an AS in Lib Arts. So this is my turning point, financial aid will not cover for any classes I will take in the spring unless I transfer to a 4 yr college and once again be in their lib Arts prog. I can barely make it with financial aid now and I won't make it if I have to pay or next sem on top of all the expenses (Im a single mom). I really cannot afford another semester not in Nursing school. so I'm borderline desperate here.
yea i also agree that lpn school is not inferior or a substitution to rn school but for me its just another way to get closer to wat i really wanna do in life......plan b doesnt mean that its necessarily gonna be any easier.....but it does mean that there are different ways to get to one point.
hey!....did u apply online to farmingdale??....i applied online and i thought i was told that i was gonna get a call from the school to tell me what steps i need to take next in order to complete my application.....but i havent gotten ne call.....do u kno ne thing about that?....
Call admissions. They should send you your RAM ID to follow up your status and let you know what papers you're still missing. I haven't taken the Pax-PN yet. I'll probly take the last one on a Sat. I'm waiting on svcmc and cochrans acceptance/denial before I shell out another 100 bucks for the test. Times are tough. Tho every penny count I still have to squeeze it out of the bank to get to where I'm going. Hopefully I get something....anything...from svcmc. Argh!
I'm already going crazy over this
