Just wondering if any guys here have ever had an trouble with piercings (earrings, specifically) while on the job. Do hospitals frown upon men having piercings? I'm sure there are different policies for every hospital, but I'd like to think that if a woman can have a couple earrings then a man should be allowed the same privilege. Thanks in advance!

I don't think you'd have a problem with a couple of studs, no pun intended. But there are guidelines about what you can wear sticking out of your skin and for good reason. I quit wearing drop earrings the day a demented old one grabbed one and was hanging on. And yes, I was against policy, which I would imagine WOULD be enforced against a guy with jewelry more readily than me. But then, you'll be promoted first, so it evens out.
I have 14 gauge plugs right now that I've been *considering* stretching to a 12 then maybe a 10. Do you think this is appropriate?
Bump.

No...very, very unprofessional.

Extreme? It's not extreme at all. You can't stick a finger through my ear or anything like that. This isn't me but this is roughly the size of them: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2141/2314973987_2fd5e6141f.jpg?v=0
Of course they look a bit smaller on me because I have bigger ears.
I know that these are and I would recommend that you stay precisely where you are. Once you have the job you can consider stretching them further but the reality is that you will not interview as well with them as without, let alone bigger ones.
No, it isn't fair, but it is the way it is.
