It cannot be stressed enough for whoever receives meds from pharmacy to IMMEDIATELY verify content and promtly put narcotics under double locks. Just like we make mistakes they make mistakes too, and just because the meds look professionally packaged it does not mean that the count is right. (I must add that most of the time it is.)

On a side note, I went to our local chain pharmacy the other night. Picked up a script for husband. Completely wrong drug. Was supposed to be for someone else. Had husband's name on it but was wrong drug. Yes, I am sure that mistakes are made!

My point is we have to do our part to help catch those mistakes. No system is infallible.
