Could someone who obtains a PMHNP also practice in a general sense as a Adult NP? Like do primary care/hospice side work?

No, that's outside your scope. I work internal medicine and besides acute antipsychotics inpatient and stable SSRIs, I don't treat into the psych realm. Make sense?

That would be waaaay outside your scope of practice. I am a FNP but am getting a post grad PMHNP certificate. Getting a post grad cert.could be an option for you if you are wanting to do something of that nature.

I’m also an FNP working in palliative care and going back for PMHNP. Yeah it will be quite difficult doing what you propose.
