PCCN CERT

Hello Everyone,

I have worked in Cardiology close to 4years and want to obtain my PCCN cert... My job doesn't have a course/bootcamp available.... They soon will... I don't want to wait and want to seek a class, etc on my own.... Any advice on how to approach this?? also any additional resources like purchasing a review book, CD, videos etc??? Im serious and want to start and get this done.... Please share your thoughts.........

My hospital did have a boot camp. But I also purchased "Ace the PCCN you can do it" book by Nicole Kupchik and used a pccn daily question app. Passed first attempt. Good luck!

Thank you very much for responding.....

Was “ace the PCCN You can do it” your only resource? I’m gonna start studying soon but I’m giving myself 6 months so I’m not overwhelmed with that and school. You know if the books they recommend on their website are actually worth it?

I used the same book and app. No boot camp. I did buy the online review course from AACN, but I found it pretty useless. Passed, first attempt. It was easier than I was expecting. Good luck!

Thank you!!!

Do you mind sharing what app you used?

Thanks! I was looking at what was available and that looked like the better option anyway.

PCCN Pocket Prep which I found harder than the actual test, imo.

does your workplace have a library? i just picked up pccn books from there. they're free.

i did my ccrn first a few years ago and i used apps, dvds, friends' materials, mult exam question booklets... honestly the practice exam questions prepared me the most / helped me pass ccrn and i felt like i wasted time trying to use all of the other resources. so this time around am just going to focus on practice questions
