Pay Rate

Hello everyone I just had my interview with Perryville prison in AZ, which uses corizon for their health care workers. Interview seemed to go well and they said i should hear something by next week! What is the average pay rate in this field? Im not a new grad been a RN for 5yrs mostly in the hospital setting but recently transitioned into home health about 7 months ago. Thank for the help!

I believe they max out around $28. Not sure what the pay would be for someone with 5 years experience. Are you not happy with your current job?

The more I think about it, maybe max pay is low $30 ish an hour. Have you considered Lewis? They have some 12 hour shifts….

Wow really that low I was making more than that right out nursing school. I'm currently doing home health don't want to say I don't like it its just a lot of take home work. When I'm off i want to be off not have to worry about a few hours of charting. Well if they offer me a job I hope it's more then that...otherwise i won't be able to take it

Well, just wait and see..maybe I can't remember correctly. PV probably isn't as stable management-wise as Lewis. Depending on where you live, you might want to consider Lewis or PHX (Alhambra).

I live 5 minutes away from PV so I'd prefer to work there. Well I may be getting ahead of myself... still have to hear back to even see if they want me lol! Thanks for your input

Totally understand! They've had a fair amount of turnover recently and seem to always have available positions. I'm sure you were told that background checks can take a few weeks. Good luck!!

It really all depends on the state, agency, budget issues, and of course prior RN experience. I know for me I just started with the County of San Diego as a new grad and make $32.24/hr plus really great benefits. After a year which is your probationary period you automatically get a 3% raise. But it varies from place to place.

Would love to speak to you if you're available, I am debating applying there. I haven't posted enough to message you! Thank you.
