PatientTouch

Our hospital is going to the PatientTouch system starting 11/1.

Has anyone had any experience with the system? What are your views about its use?

How does the system deal with medications that have not been profiled? We do not have a pharmacist 24/7 (yes, I know ... odd) so a lot of our medications may not be on the patients profile.

Please share its detail also..

The way our system works is if the med is not on the profile you can over ride the system and type in the med you need if there is a new order and it hasn't been added yet.

Can you explain the program? I've not heard of it.
