I'm one of those people who liked patho. I don't know of any videos, but I did a patho tree for disease processes. I can send you an example if you want.

I would love to see that tree! Could you please send it to [email protected]nk you!!!

what are you needing help with a certain disease? the best thing i ever did in school was learning how to do a concept map. it made every disease easy to follow and i made notcards with them. this way i had the disease in front of me and everything i needed to do for it.

MCC on iTunes U then open in itunes, then click on nursing, then click on pathophys 104. She is a good teacher.

Maybe buy a cheap patho text book off of amazon???

I like this book called Pathophysiology: A Clinical Approach by Carie Braun and Cindy Anderson.

Our class used it for Patho I and Patho II. It breaks down the diseases into chapters like "Infection" and "Altered Ventilation & Diffusion." It has some very nice concept maps and diagrams. If you take the time to look at them, I think it will help you! :) It's pretty easy to read; the language is not overly complex and the authors don't get long-winded.

I just looked it up on Amazon, and I think it will run you about $45-ish. Hope that helps you!

THE best resource for you is the Physiology Coloring Book, a real resource and not a joke, available for free two-day shopping from Amazon. Note it doesn't say "the PATHOphysiology Coloring Book," so why is it my first, best, and always recommendation?

Simple.

Most people don't think about (or remember) what normal physiology is...and if you don't have that down absolutely solid, derangements in physiology (that's what pathophysiology is) won't make sense to you either. Get the book and stop trying to short-cut by watching videos on YouTube. This is work, and you'll need to know it all the rest of your working life. The book will be ready to hand on your desk when YouTube isn't.

I second GrnTea's suggestion of getting the Physiology Coloring Book. I found that most people who struggled with Medsurg/Patho did so because they were weak in physiology. Remember this is the foundation to understanding it all. If you don't know the normal function/values, you won't know why or how is it abnormal! :)

Plus, who doesn't like coloring...
