I am taking Patho and Pharm this summer and not doing too hot in either class. I'm just curious if anyone else has had to take these 2 classes over because of their grade (as in failed ) and is it REALLY SO BAD if I have to???? They give us 4 chances to take these 2 classes so I'm thinking that I'm not the first to have to take it more than once.

I know several people in my program had to retake patho; pharm didn't seem to be as bad. But you know it really all depends on the teacher.
Have you gone and talked to your teachers about how you can do better? Are there any study groups with students that are doing well that you can join (if you think that would help)? Good luck to you!
PS - the people I know that had to retake patho DID just graduate with me :) Don't give up!

I took Patho and Pharm together last semester. It was tough but I got through it. I do know others that have took both together and did not do well. It all depends on the student and the teacher. They are both difficult classes.

In my nursing program the classes are just called nursing 1, 2 ,3 4, 5. Do you think that patho and pharm will be mixed into those classes. Do they even teach them in ADN programs?

I did not have to take Patho and Pharm together since our school does not put them into the same semester. As a matter of fact, my BSN program has Patho as a required course BEFORE you can take Pharm. It will be tough as Patho was a nightmare class for me but I did end up passing. I took Pharm this summer in an 8 week session class meeting only 1X/week and passed with a 92%. It can all be done it's just a matter of realizing you will have no life other than nursing school for the coming semester. Isn't that the way it always has been anyway?
