Hi Apriljan
I'm so happy for you, your stomach must be like a bowl of jelly right now (or should that be JELLO ) I noticed we are close in age & I can appreciate the rollercoster journey you have been on to get this far:bugeyes: . you didn't get much notice did you! I thought you got your pk4 about 6 weeks before the interview! yours is less than that isn't it?
let us know how you get on, medicals & interview. Hope it all goes smoothly for you.
I was wondering if you could tell me how long you waited for pk4 after the NVC got your biographic details? &/or did you know when your application was sent from NVC to embassy in the UK
We are at the biographic stage now & I'm just trying to get an idea of how much longer we have to sell our house, we would like to try & tie it all up so we can leave as soon as possible after the interview.

I only got 3ish weeks notice, I was told by the Embassy in London because you can email them you know and they always reply, that they send all the packet 4's out on the same day of each month and that it can be anytime for the next month they interview for. Mine was the 11th Nov last year and I left the UK on the 1st Dec. But I had emailed them and asked if I could book my medical if my interview was close, they Told me yes get your medical done end oct beg Nov.
You need your case number and it needs to be very close to date of interview but they are helpful. When my son wanted to get his green card after we had got ours I just emailed the embassy and they sent me an interview back.
Thank's for the tip, but how do you know when your interview will be if you haven't received your pk4?:uhoh21: Were you informed when your file went to the embassy?

Once P3 has gone in you know it is aprox 3-4 months later that you will be called for interview
received approval notice november.
Thanks! Feeling excited now but there's so much to think about. We were informed on 3rd of May that our application from NVC was sent to London. Our house is up for sale but no buyer as yet so keeping fingers crossed things will happen soon because that's a worry. Just want everything to be tied up when we go if possible. Managed to get medicals organised for 7th July (only had 2 dates to choose from before interview!) It's at a doctors in Knightsbridge so 2 trips to London (4 of us!) As a matter of interest which agency are you with?
Was there anybody out there who didn't manage to sell their house before they went? And if so how did you go on? I think my employers will be keen to have me out there ASAP.
I'm with an agent called Pacific health, they only deal with California, LA & Orange county.
I got my approval notice in OCT & I am still waiting for them to ask for the demographics, so I hope I wont be far behind you.
We also have our house on the market & I agree it is a big worry that it may not be sold in time.
I had a friend who had to go without selling her home but she was able to sign over power of authority to a close friend (or can be relative) she sold the house for her and wired the money, you just need to arrange it all via your solicitor before you go.
Hi ukrn2ca
I'm familiar with Pacific health. I was in contact with them 2 years ago, I found them to be ok, but unfortunately the Cal BON wouldn't accept my transcripts Re: hours completed in training etc, found it very hard to communicate with Cal BON, but I didn't give up I then went through Florida BON and here I am now. I met up with Pacific health on a trip to the Wst coast 2 years ago, met Jason and his mother. It didn't work out with Cal but I am happy where I am going (Connecticut), been out there last Nov and looked around went to the place I will be working so feel happy with that. After 2 year contract I'm free to move anywhere anyway!:)
Do you know where you will be going/working ukrn2ca?
