Pace ABSN Fall 2017

Hi Everyone!

I know I'm crazy early because the deadline is March 1st, but I wanted to see if there was anyone else applying so we can all start exchanging helpful info. :)

Hello everyone!

I have also applied to the ABSN program at Pace for Fall 2017. While I am very excited to possibly begin nursing school, I have a few concerns about the program at Pace. I have read very poor reviews about the program on threads from 2010 and 2013. Most of the comments were about how the program sets students up for failure; many have mentioned how most of the class either drops out or fails out of the program before graduating.

Someone actually recently posted this link (http://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/nurse/n...xrn2013-17.htm) on another thread that shows the NYS RN NCLEX results. While Pace has a 100% NCLEX pass rate, it looks like only 4 students actually took the exam in 2015? Is it possible that only 4 students out of ~64 student class managed to stay in the program? I understand that all ABSN programs are very intense---and I am certainly prepared for that and willing to put in maximum effort if I am accepted, but I would also hate to put myself in a situation where most students fail out and not only waste a lot of money and time, but also ruin any chances to get into another nursing program afterwards.

Can any current Pace ABSN students or anyone else provide any feedback?

Thank you!!

^ I'm worried about what I've read too, because I'm sure more than 4 out of 64 students were hard working and dedicated in the program. I hope that any issues with the curriculum have been addressed since.

For those who were already interviewed, what kind of questions did they ask? Also for the writing sample, what were the topics? I have my interview on Monday, so I am bit nervous!

My pace website went from "complete" to "decision made". I didn't get an interview so I'm assuming I got rejected.

My pace portal website says application status: submitted. If i was rejected, i don't understand why they haven't let me know yet, or if they were going to give me an interview, why they didn't yet since many other people already had theirs

I just got an email saying I got an interview. I just wanted to know what questions did they ask during the interview and what writing was required. Thank you

Hi all,

I just received an email for an interview too! I wanna know what questions did they ask and what writing sample looks like!

Please Anyone?

My application still says "in review" as well, no email for an interview. I called pace and was told that after this week they may stop contacting for interviews.

Hi guys! I interview on March 20th as well. Did not hear anything back yet. Has anyone who interviewed on that date received a response ?
