Pace ABSN Fall 2017

Hi Everyone!

I know I'm crazy early because the deadline is March 1st, but I wanted to see if there was anyone else applying so we can all start exchanging helpful info. :)

Hi there!

I am considering Pace, but for summer/fall 2018! What can you tell about the school? So far I have heard only horror stories about their ABSN!

Hey! Thanks for the response. Are you shooting for the ABSN 1 year or 2 year? I have also seen some of those horror stories on this site (for the 1 year option), but I am wondering if those stories are due to the program itself or people's circumstances during the program. I feel like all ABSN programs are rigorous, and it may be very difficult to hold a part time job, volunteer, intern, etc.

From what I've seen so far, most ABSN programs are 15-18 months, rather than Pace's 12 months. Probably doesn't help. :/

If that is the case, maybe Pace's program would only be best for people who don't need to work? I would definitely want to speak to people who went through the program and hear about what else they were doing during it.

Hi, thanks for replying back lol! That is a good thing that Pace does have a 1 and a 2 year ABSN option. I heard that if you are not doing well in your 1 year option you can switch to a 2 year option. To be honest, as much as I want to get my BSN fast, I would rather go slowly but truly immerse myself in the learning process at fast but not rushed, proficient, way. My fears also stem from the fact that the course load is so tense and fast that I may not be able to learn as much needed to successfully take NCLEX and pass it. Lastly, I am single so money does need to come in, but since it is an accelerated program and god knows I do not wanna kill myself working and doing school super full-time, I will have to find other means of support. The last thing I need the crappy school and disorganization to happen in that one and only year. In any event, I do wish your all the best in getting accepted. And if you do, please, do come back and share your experiences!

Hi,

I am apply early also for Spring 18 in pleasantville.

I am applying for Fall of 2017 in the NYC campus. Does anyone happen to know what the chances of getting into this school is in comparison to other nursing programs in the city?

Hey guys.

I didn't see a word max for the personal statement so I was wondering how long yours were? I don't want to make it too short but also don't want to go overboard.

Thanks!!

Hello everyone. I am also applying to pace for the fall 2017 and I wanted to know what I should write in my personal essay. Any tips or ideas on how the essay should be written? Thanks !

Also ive read that they have 64 seats every semester but they get a lot of applications so it seems really competitive

Did anyone get any info. about the personal statement?

Hi guys! I recently got an email for an interview on Feb 6 at 12 pm! Anyone else?

Wow, congrats and good luck! That is definitely the earliest I've seen on this site for interviews. I'm still waiting on the completion of my two winter courses, so my app can't even be viewed until March 1st :(

Thanks! Hoping it goes well. Thats not too far away, don't worry. Good luck with everything!
