OU ABSN 2022 Program

Hi everyone! I wanted to make a post for everyone applying to OU's ABSN program starting June 2022. I submitted my application the other day and have a few questions/wanted to meet people who are applying as well! I was told we wouldn't hear back until middle of February.

    I received my acceptance email last night to Tulsa ABSN program too!

    My application portal was updated today, and I was able to accept the offer of admission via the portal.

    OUHSC doesn’t care to look into previous degree. Just your GPA and science GPA! At least, that’s what it was when I had gone through the program. I thought it was a great program and the 14 months came and went so fast! Highly recommend over the traditional track!

    I feel like a good number of my classmates came from the waitlist, even at very last minute. The spots are offered and then they obviously reevaluate the next candidate when someone passes on their opportunity.

    Do you know what the average GPA for the last 60 credits for accepted applicants in the accelerated nursing program? Do you know what the average science GPA is as well for admission?

    I honestly do not recall, but I’d say at least a 3.5 in either category. Maybe a little more forgiving with science GPA. At the time I applied, it was only about the two GPAs.. they don’t look at work history or what your previous degree was in. 
     

    Maybe people who were just now accepted can share their stats. I know there are old OUHSC ABSN forums with applicants who shared theirs in the past.
