Mar 24, 201214 yr I took statistics online at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH. I was dreading it also, but I didnt find it too bad. I ended up with a B. I felt the prof did everything he could to help us learn it. He expected us to learn how to use the software to do stats instead of learning all the formulas. There were no formulas to learn. Good luck with it.
Mar 24, 201214 yr Anybody take this online and 'where'? Need this course but dread taking it!OSU (Oregon state) has an online statistics course based in psychology. It requires no pre-requisites and is accepted towards any BSN program in our state. It's online. More expensive than a comm. college but cheaper than a university.
Mar 28, 201214 yr Brigham Young University (BYU) has an online 400 level statistics course called Introduction to Psychological Statistics. Nothing is really online except the grade checking and study guides. I am NOT good at math and pulled a high C - good enough to get into my masters program. The upside: It is only $600.00 for the entire course (unless it went up) The downside: You have to take the exams at a local college which can cost some extra $$.Good luck!
Mar 30, 201214 yr Springfield Tech Comm College(STCC) in Springfield, MA offers an online Statistics course. The course is self paced, no homework and 7 exams during the semester. If you've already taken online classes and don't really need the assistance of a professor then you'll probably love this course. I do!
Mar 30, 201214 yr Rio Salada Community College Online College | Online Community College | Rio Salado College | Rio Salado CollegeI plan to take my stats there. Good luck! It's PSY 230.
Apr 11, 201214 yr Author Thanks everyone for the replies, appreciate it! I was leaning towards springfield tech but you need math pre-requisites and I don't have that.........arghhhhhh....
Apr 29, 201412 yr Hi! Where did you end up taking your stats class? I am trying to get into a decent all online one. I am going away for a week to AZ in June and hope to do little homework while on vacation....opinion??
Apr 29, 201412 yr Author kater5899 I took statistics last summer at iowacconline with Professor S the male professor. Great class, no proctored tests, DB every week, a quiz every week that you can take as many times as you want, 3 tests worth 30 points each that you have 3 hours to take. Got an A in the class and it is 8 weeks
Apr 30, 201412 yr Thank u...that is a big help. I think I am going to give it a shot this summer. Sorry, one more question... did u have to take quizzes or tests on a certain day?
Apr 30, 201412 yr Author The quizzes were once a week, as I said you could take as many times as you wanted. The tests opened up on a certain day and you had to have it done also I believe by the end of the week. Use southwestern as your home college if you do it. You won't have to have any prereq's through them
