Deaconness College is one. You have to do your sciences such as anatomy and physiology at a college in your area.

Actually, students can take the A&P through any school approved by Deaconess which includes a few online. This is true for all the none nursing courses as well.
I met a fellow student who was one semester behind me and she lives in Germany. It is a long haul for her at the end of each semester to travel to the school for validations but she said it was the only option for her living outside the US.
Good luck in your search

Good point. There are several colleges that offer prerequisites online. Go to the science sticky note for more info.

My husband's Air Force and I know exactly what you mean! We've been on this base for over 3 years, he's been here longer than all the people in his shop and we know we have orders coming but we don't have any idea where too... So it kind of sucks for me since I want to start a nursing school in the fall... Just don't know where yet
I've been researching Deaconness like you wouldn't believe... I'm still unsure but I would be glad to give you all the information I've received from the wonderful people on this board...

A word to the wise, I paid my dues with TCN (The Collge Network) they advertise an online nursing program with Indiana State University. They admissions counselor told me it would cost two thousand dollars and then ISU fees. They ended up charging my credit card five thousand and I found out I could get all the same material for free from Excelior. My experience was rotten! I hope no one else gets sucked in to their program with the promise of an online program at your own pace!!!! Good luck to you!
There is a student who is on this BB from time to time who may be able to give you some guidance. I believe her spouse is also military. I believe her name is LTNurse. Try pm'ing her she would be a great person to provide some input regarding DCN and being in the military.
Good luck and feel free to pm me

i am a recent grad from rio salado college in tempe, az. (11/05) online school with national accredidation and part of the traditional college network. cheap. not easy but all didactic is done online and clinicals are arranged with a local hospital where you are at. they are now branching nationally and have had students throughout the us. www.rio.maricopa.edu/ this may be an option for those affiliated with the service. i had a lot of service personell in my class. some i never met because they were out of state. it is better, in my opinion, than excelsior. the staff is extremely supportive.
