online nursing programs that don't require you to be a RN

Hello, I am thinking of pursuing online schooling to get my BSN and wanted to know if there are any programs for people who are not already an RN or CNA. I do not have any type of training in this field already. I only have a BS in public health. Do online programs for people who don't have any prior training exist? Thanks.

thanks to all for the advice. However, I am not looking for an accelerated program since I am working right now. Also, I am aware that everything can't be online. I don't mind doing clinicals, I just mean for when I start out and do regular coursework. So just to be clear, there are no traditional programs for non-nurses that are online?

ok...i don't know where you are located but texas has 3 that i know of (or did know off) .....

texas a & m chorpus christi/delmar... http://www.eline.tamucc.edu/howelineworks.htm

and i think i heard north central texas college. i had heard at one time they were doing some type of online nursing program ...i know its not a rn to bsn so you may find a program to apply to....the one thing i dont know is if you have to live in texas and do the clinicals here..you will need to research that.

Thanks for the information about U Wisconsin at Osk Kosh. Sounds like a full time job - literally - the information online states that online students are required to state in writing that they will forgo employment during the time that they go through the year long program. Tough!

I went through an accelerated program that, except for clinicals, was largely "online" and we had the same requirement. It would have been quite difficult to be employed during the program; there simply weren't enough hours in most weeks.
