Oh no!!! Please HELP!!

Oh boy am I a frustrated mess this weekend!

I was putting my nursing application and documents together so I can turn them in MONDAY MORNING, during application week, when I saw the tiny letters on the pre-req checksheet that said "Must be signed by advisor and submitted with application"!!! OH NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!:o I cannot believe this!! Here I am, getting all my ducks in a row and I am screwed!! How could I have missed that???

And WHY does she have to sign it. After all, they have my transcripts!!! I called her early last week on a seperate issue and she has yet to return my call, so how, praytell, do you think I am going to get this signature. I JUST finished the NA classes. I mean, this woman is impossible to see. In fact, if I hadn't seen her before I would question whether or not she really existed or was just a figment of the nursing depts imagination.

This is a long shot...but anyone applied to MCCD nursing program WITHOUT an advisors sig on that sheet? I am just sick. Last day to apply is Friday and I so wanted to get it in first thing Monday morning! Now it looks like I won't get it in at all, all because of a stupid oversight! Do you think I can get another advisor to sign Monday AM?:o

I am going to go cry now. Or drink. Don't know which.:o :o

Janice

just go camp out at her office until she can sign it--best to you, heather/

Thanks Heather. Good advice. Unfortunately I work full time so "camping out" is NOT an option.:chuckle

BUT..................I did get the next best thing. AN APPOINTMENT!! It truly is a miracle!! I don't think it matters when I get my app in as long as it is this week, so who cared, right?? It will be in by Friday.

Janice

Wow! That's a lot of freaking out over a signature. I would have called in to work to camp out at the advisor's door if I HAD to do that.

  • Author

LOL. You know I would of if I had to. I am "freaking out" for many other reasons right now, not just a signature. Hopefully I'll get over it soon.....:rotfl:

Good luck with everything Janice! I am reading all your posts and can feel your anxiety and excitement. I can't wait to be that close myself! Make sure when you enter the program to tell us all about it!

I start at SWSC in Feb and it seems so far away!

Well, I turned it the stupid app and yes, I ended up freaking out much more than I needed to. But, in my defense, they make you freak out! When I got there the advisor was like "Nah, applying is no big deal", she took a few documents from me, didn't sign anything, and I left. So, I am in the "lottery" officially. Won't be eligible for spring due to my BIO 202 class overlapping, but she said odds were that I wouldn't get in then anyway. It is probably just as well anyway cuz I still gotta take Patho. So....maybe summer?? We'll see!!! Atleast the worrying is over now.....:uhoh3:

Janice

Making you freak out is the university/college way. This won't be the last time, I betcha. (I've worked at universities for the past 15 years so I KNOW what they put the students through!)
