Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I have been rejected to 2-yr Nursing program for 3 times already( lottery system) ! Now I feel so bad and depressed ! I have been thinking about changing my major ! But don't know what major to switch to ? ...And I still love nursing !

I wonder if any one was or has been in this situation like me? I really need your advice ! I might end up doing something stupid !:bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1::bluecry1:

Take charge of your own fate and apply to non-lottery based schools. Then luck is less of an issue (at least in theory).

Apply to other schools and increase your chances of being accepted. Never put all your eggs in one basket.

i feel your pain, i dont even know now what to do am tired of this waiting list or been denied.

Don't give up! If nursing is your passion, then you should pursue it no matter what is standing in the way. Why not apply to other schools that is not on a lottery system? So what if you have to wait? My school is first come, first serve. The wait is not bad (2 years)... atleast it is a guarantee that you will eventually get in. Also, you have a chance to move up the list and start sooner because many applicants drop off the list to either a different school or can not maintain their GPA. I'm glad my school has a waitlist. It gives me time to work on all the non-nursing courses so when I start the nursing program, all I have are the nursing courses to focus on. Good luck!!!

I agree with the others. Apply to other schools. Had you used the time you have spent waiting to "get lucky" with this one school to take classes for a BSN program, you'd be well on your way by now -- maybe even close to graduation.

Don't spend your life sitting around waiting to get lucky. Apply to other programs for which admission is based on things you can influence -- and then do whatever it takes to get admitted. Put yourself in the driver's seat.
