This is ... I don't know what to call it. Pardon me while I think of something appropriate, but take a look:

At least they are trying to give the public the information they need to decide which ED to go to. ... That's better than NOT giving the people the information. But isn't it a shame that it is necessary?
It is hard to know what to think of it all.
Thanks for sharing it.

That's bizzare, like you, I'm not sure what else to call it.
Is this what "customer satisfaction" is coming to?
Those wait times didn't look to bad, I know I can wait longer in line at the grocery store :)
Part of me thinks two words: job security.
Another part of me thinks that if you have the time to check this website, choose an ED based on the wait time, and then travel to these diverse areas (seriously, they're all pretty far apart), then you really don't need to be seen in the ED. Although I do hope most people will be just checking on the closest facility, and not using it to decide which one to visit. Maybe. LOL.

Yeah, the hospital in my hometown has this too. Not sure what to think of it...

And now all the non-emergent cases will flock to the first one in the top left corner. I think this image describes what most people want to say: http://bonius.com/gallery2/d/5145-1/picard.jpg

Ditto here. We have two hospitals in our town, one fairly large and the other a little smaller. The smaller one posts the ER wait times on their website (and even on electronic billboards around town!).

I saw a billboard like that from the highway while on vacation in Florida!! I was like, "Whaaaaat?" LOL

The Detroit Medical Center has the same on its website. Plus lots of commercials on local TV advertising it.
Aren't there some EDs that give pt pagers when they check in with triage so they may go home and wait?
Kind of like when you go out to eat at a busy restaurant on a Friday night
Yep. "Reservations for one?"
Ya, and gratuity is generally 15-20% of the bill right????
