OCCC Spring 2017

I applied for the Spring 2017. I think will 18 you'll be more than okay! I believe they are any science classes, with a max of 6 points from them.

I am about to turn in my application now. I just found out yesterday that my ACT scores were just barely too old to be used for preference points otherwise I would have had a total of 16. So I had to scrounge and try to study as much as possible last night and take the accuplacer tests this morning to try to make up the points. I got a good enough score on the writing but I was one question away on the Math. So I'm now having to apply with 14 points instead of 16 which really upsets me. My gpa isn't that great it's a 2.9 so I don't know I guess we will find out in a few weeks.

That sounds frustrating! From what I understand preference points comes before gpa so they will only use your gpa to order you after considering preference points. I think the average was less than 14 last fall so you still have a good chance. They said it will probably take 8 weeks from today...I hope it's 4 instead haha

I submitted my application I think August 25th or 26th, I know the deadline was on September 2nd... I'm so anxious to hear back if I'm accepted or not! Does anyone know yet if they got in? Or do we know when we will find out?

Hello! They have 4-8 weeks from the deadline to send out acceptance emails. From reading previous forums, I see that it usually isnt until October28-31 that acceptance emails are sent.....hopefully sooner! Im getting anxious too! :)

I don't think they even begin looking at them until the Monday after the deadline. They told me 6-8 weeks so it could potentially be as early as next Friday but I doubt it.

I am finger and toes crossed. Now the waiting game. Good luck everyone.

Called admissions today and was informed that we will not know until the 8th week. They are working on the applications now.

Good to know... It seems like it is always the 31st that all of the previous semesters started to get notified... everyone stay calm and continue to take slow deep breaths...

2 more weeks, we can do this y'all. The 31st will be here before you know it

Okay guys, we have got about 12 days left until they are SUPPOSED to start releasing acceptance/rejection emails! Everyone send up prayers, positive vibes, good thoughts, etc. We have got this! Although we don't know each other yet, I hope and pray that we all get to meet soon and I look forward to starting our nursing journey together! Everyone stay positive!!
