NYC DOE 2015-2016

Is anyone enrolled or has been tested for the 2015-2016 term for LPNs for the NYC DOE LPN program held at Mid-Manhattan Adult Learning Center? Have they contacted you telling you the program is pending funding? SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!

I finished it last year and unfortunately rumors are this year will be the last one.If it's true it's very sad.

Were you able to find a job quickly after?

I heard bad news from the school and they may not have a program this year, so I want to write a letter to the principle to help keep the program alive.

Hey,

I called the manhattan site today and they said they know for sure there will not be a LPN program at their site for sept. 2015 but they are not able to say the same for the brooklyn site. I called brooklyn site after and spoke to the assistant principal and she said no update, the program is still pending fundings availability.

ugh the manhattan site never told me it was final. Thank you for the info. Did they tell you why, exactly?

They basically said they lost fundings for the program at that site. I am upset that they said nothing about this until February but they nevertheless continued to test and recruit applicants. How can they make students apply to a program that is not guaranteed to exist.

Wow! So does that mean that they wont even schedule another teas test?

I am not sure about that. You can call and find out. I didn't know they were still testing. I thought they stopped in March.

If it happen,it is unfair for us after all the preparation that we have done.this is excellent program. I wrote email to mayor and the chancellor ,also to the governor,it is important not to let the program close, please keep fighting.

Yes we should fight for the continuation of the program. Not all of us can afford and this program allowed us an opportunity to move up the ladder of success without graduating with debt. And it is much shorter than most LPN Program.

I only got to take the cnet test, this is so disappointing! I studied so hard!:angrybird3:
