  1. Hey guys, I just got an email from the chancellor. They contacted OACE Superintendent and she confirmed that June 2015 will be the last graduating class. And unfortunately there will not be a program for the upcoming year. This sucks. I feel hopeless.
  2. Hello all, I am sure most of you heard that there may not be an LPN Program this year. My fellow classmates and i are trying to fight to keep the program alive. Please join and help us. We have contacted the Mayor, Governor and Chancellor about this issue. Such hardwork and time we have committed to this and now it is being discontinued. We need your help. The more people the better chance that our voices are heard. https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/petitioning-for-the-989398.html#post8504755
  3. Yes we should fight for the continuation of the program. Not all of us can afford and this program allowed us an opportunity to move up the ladder of success without graduating with debt. And it is much shorter than most LPN Program.
  4. I am not sure about that. You can call and find out. I didn't know they were still testing. I thought they stopped in March.
  5. They basically said they lost fundings for the program at that site. I am upset that they said nothing about this until February but they nevertheless continued to test and recruit applicants. How can they make students apply to a program that is not guaranteed to exist.
  6. I sent you an email :)
  7. Hey, I called the manhattan site today and they said they know for sure there will not be a LPN program at their site for sept. 2015 but they are not able to say the same for the brooklyn site. I called brooklyn site after and spoke to the assistant principal and she said no update, the program is still pending fundings availability.
  8. hey, I was told the program was on hold when i called in April Because of funding issues. I took the cnet in november 2014 and the teas V in january and passed both. I sent in my application packet in February and a little after i got an email saying the program will start Sept. 2015 pending fundings Availability. I really hope they somehow change their minds to putting an end to this program. I was so excited to get in but now its disappointing hearing the bad news. I like your idea of fighting to keep the program. I am on board! :)
