Nvcc fall 2016

Hi,

I just need some insight from all of you...I am planning to apply for nursing at NVCC for fall 2016. I have finished all my prerequisites and general requirement with the gpa of 3.7 but my teas score is on the lower side. I still have two chances to take it again but the student services have told me that since I passed I can't take it again. Is it true? If I were to take it again, will the nursing team take my highest score for consideration? Any help will be appreciated! 😊

She called on Tuesday, so before all this craziness happened. I still think its weird so many people didn't get an email, and only a few did.

This was my plan B too, my teas scores were not "competitive" but they met the requirement. My gpa is a 3.7 and I got above a C in all my prereqs, including my A&P's and micro.

I don't know if I trust anyone who controls that facebook page. My friend called and spoke with someone in the nursing department to figure out what was going on, and the woman told her that they have no control on what gets put on that page. The class just seems really small, so many people, even people who applied for the LPN to RN, didn't get an email today.

It is a small hope, but maybe this means the information on facebook about all of the acceptances being sent out is inaccurate. I think I will try to call tomorrow if I do not get anything from NOVA by the afternoon. Thought of calling today but I imagine their phones are blowing up right now

Thanks, keep us updated! I'm planning to call tomorrow as well. It makes no sense I was accepted last year and not this one..

I probably will call too, I want to know why they lowered the teas score, and then decided to only accept 24% Obliviously there were going to be a lot more applicants

Nothing to do now but keep our heads up guys - I know it sucks but we all did what we needed to and unfortunately we were kind of robbed of an opportunity. I have no doubt that good things will come if we stay positive.

I didn't get anything either. :(

So is that it, we should assume that we did not get in? My friend got her acceptance letter. Does anyone have a plan b?

My friend got hers too, this was my plan B

Yeah - I'm pretty sure they are not accepting anyone else unless someone decides not to go to nova. This was my second time applying to nova.. I was rejected in the spring as well and was told if I improved my grades and took the co-reqs I would have no problem getting in....feels like a scam to me - i'm extremely frustrated and not quite sure what my next step is but hoping for the best.

I don't have a plan B...

I had been looking into Chamberlain along with NOVA at first, but then I solely put my focus all on NOVA because Chamberlain is extremely pricey and I thought I had a good chance with NOVA. But at this point I don't even know about my plan B. This is all a mess, but I'm trying to remain positive. Everything happens for a reason and I'm sure something better is in the near future for all of us.

Anyone else have a plan B?

Chamberlain and ither trade schools are way too expensive. UMD has a decent programI just havent looked into how out of state tuition would play out
