I use New Balance... Crocs are to wide and are sloppy on my feet. Sketchers are to wide across my toes and my toes get rammed against the front of my shoes. I also buy new shoes every 6 to 8 months. take care of your feet.
go to a good shoe store and get fitted

Calzuro's!!!! I LOVE THEM!! I have wide feet, tried Dansko's which KILLED my feet, back, knees, hips..ect. Wore sneakers for a while, and then stummbled upon Calzuro's after a recommendation from a co-worker, the best investment I have ever made! They are wide, rubber so they can be cleaned and disinfected, come in tons of colors, with or without vents, and are releatively cheap..a pair online will run around 60 bucks. I definitely would give them a try! Good luck in your search!

my feet hated me too! i finally brought new shoes. they are called sanita, made by the same manufacturer as dansko, but imho, i find them to be more comfortable. www.sanitaclogs.com. since i started wearing them, my back no longer hurts, and once i broke them in, neither did my feet. good luck, hope this helps.

I just bought a new pair of Sanita's too and found the same thing ...it seemed like they took me far less time to break in. This is weird, because Sanita used to make Danskos, then they branched off because Dansko wanted to move manufacturing to China. They are really the same shoe. The only thing I can figure is that they tweaked the shoe a little bit?
I would say they tweaked something, maybe added more cushion.

Selecting a good pair of work shoes is an individual decision. What works for one person will be disastrous for another individual. For example, I wish the cheapie WalMart sneakers would feel comfortable and perform well, because I'd be saving loads of money with the $10 price. Some people can wear these shoes for 12 or even 16 hours, but my feet kill me.
I love New Balance athletic shoes and SAS casual shoes. After a 16 hour double shift, my feet are still feeling light, fresh, and pain-free.

I wear new balance. There is not the breaking in period and they are comfortable. I have tried, "Nusing shoes" and ended up with hurting feet. I also buy pads to make them even comfier. Oh and a great pair of support hose is a most for being on your feet all day.
