I am 50 years old with add/ld. I have tried Dosage and Calculations three times. I do not have the option of working part time. I have absolutely no self esteem! Any suggestions would help!

Have you tried a tutor?

Are you actually in nursing school or trying to get in?

I have tried in the past.

plenty of people with ADD get through nursing school. Learning disabilities, depends on the issue; some can be overcome and some can't.

Work with your medical provider to make sure that your medications are allowing you to work up to your maximum potential. Take that out of the equation, see how you do. Working with a tutor to pinpoint strategies that work best for you is a must. After that, if you are still not able to pass the fundamentals or basics you will need to consider other employment options.

In the end you will have to pass the same tests that those without ADD or learning disabilities need to pass. It isn't an accommodation to allow you to skip dosage calculation exams if you have been failing them. Beyond that you will need to learn strategies to cope with overcoming whatever your personal obstacles are if you hope to get through a nursing program. The struggle is UPHILL from here. Work on the plan.

Good luck to you.
