Nursing Programs in New York

U.S.A. New York

Hey guys, I wanted to know what are some good nursing programs in New York? I'm from Long Island but I currently reside upstate.I'd be a transfer student with an Associates degree in Liberal Arts with a 3.97 gpa. I'd like to go to a program either in the City or on Long Island. I was looking into Adelphi, NYU, NYIT, Pace, and Molloy. I'd just like to hear from people who have been in these programs or other ones in NY. I'd love to hear about your experience, including all the good and bad things. Thank you.

How far upstate are you and are you looking for BSN or AAS program?

I'm just in Beacon. Not too far from the city or Long Island. I'm looking for a BSN program.

I'm in the Hudson Valley also. I can't really offer you any advice regarding the area's your asking about but I'm wondering if you know about SUNYIT (SUNY Institute of Technology) They offer a BSN program through Ulster Co. Comm Col. It alows you to transfer from an AAS program into their BSN program. It's a satalite program basically.

Good Luck with your search.

Not sure downstate, but I know of a few upstate (Near Albany region) there is Morrisville or Hartwick. But Hartwick is rather expensive. Both offer BSN though.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.
