Nurses in Tx...

Any advice on where to find a nurse support group in my area? I'm wanting to find a group where I can discuss recovery as well as BON issues, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated :D. I'm so happy to have found this forum!!

I'm new to this forum too, and am a recovering nurse in TX. I am also looking for a group to join to discuss our special needs and challenges as nurses in recovery. Which part of TX do you live in? Do you know of any groups that already exist?

I am in the panhandle. There is a group in my area but I've been told it's 'invitation only' and that's all I've been able to find out. Where are you?

Invitation only? Wow, sounds like an elite club. :)

I am in the southwest part of the state. Panhandle to coast is practically cross-country! Otherwise I would suggest putting something together.

i am in central texas- don't know of any nurse groups in this area. wonder why a group would want to be by invitation only? & how in the world do you get an invitation??

Maybe by invitation only, they want make sure that only people in recovery are admitted to the meetings to protect everyone's privacy. Can't TPAN help you out with finding a group?

Yeah- I was thinking about TPAPN.... the BON website should have their contact info... :)

Goodness. Put your hands on the keyboard and Google TPAPN. Now.

TPAPN closed my case and sent it back to the board a while back. It was due to my own stupidity  I'm hesitant to contact TPAPN due to that reason.
