NUR 330

Hi! I am applying for the CEP on May 28th! I am hoping to get into MCC (my first choice). I am curious about the NUR 330 class. For those of you who got in an took the NUR 330 in the fall before Nursing classes start in Jan when did you start it, was it online? in-person?How many days a week? I am curious because I am honestly trying to figure out what to do with myself until I start classes in Jan (granted I get into the program)! I don't work and would rather not begin working just to have to quit. I was thinking of taking Nursing Assistant class, but not sure.

An help would be appreciated!

Thank you!

I did my prerequisites at MCC as well but I did not want to take NUR330 online. Instead I took it at CGCC (main campus). Use Ratemyprofessors.com to find a good teacher. The one at the main campus had better reviews and I loved the class. I am in a program now and I think that knowing the patho is important. Choose a course where you will learn the most. If you like online then go for it!

Hi wbthomas! You're in the CEP program at MCC now? I don't prefer to take the intro course online I was just curious as to how it was offered. If at all possible I may try for the fast track option at MCC.

I'm on the waiting list at MCC, but I applied to ASU and got in. I am just finishing my 2nd block. I took most of my prerequisites at MCC, but took the NUR courses at CGCC. I do not like online courses and MCC (when I was there) only offers NUR330 online. I had a great instructor at the main CGCC campus. The CEP program is the way to go unless you want to go to GCU or ASU.

Good luck

NUR330 in the CEP program with NAU is in person at their Phoenix location (greenway & the I-17). It is a good class and is not online. In the fall, you will take Health Assessment and that will be both...theory online and a lab at your community college. Both classes are one day a week in person. Also, if you get into the fast track program, you can take an additional class this fall online which is gerontology. It was a simple online class and you will learn a great deal from your classmates from the discussion that is required. I can't speak for ASU or UOP. Good luck!

Thank you! I am hoping to be able to do the fast track option. =)
