Does anyone know requirements to be an NP after you have your MSN. I have an MSN and I am looking into doing my NP in the shortest time possible! Please help with ideas.

I dont know, but id be interested in finding out.
Personally I would look into a DNP program.
Opens up the clinical opportunities as an NP (which presumably is why this interest you) and by having that D in front opens doors for you in education/administration/research if any of that interest you.
Already got the masters, so it could be a legitimately viable option

You can look into postmasters certificate programs. They usually take about a year and a half if you have the prerequisite courses from your MSN.

Moved to Advanced Practice Nursing.
Post MSN certificates are quite simple: you do the three P's: adv pathophys, adv pharm, adv assessment and the required clinical hours.
Thank you all for your replies. Very helpful indeed. Which colleges would you recommend for the NP certification, where I can only do the three P's?
