Nmc uk questions

Hi everyone, I am currently in th assessment stage of the Nmc Uk registration for non-Eu applicants and my license will expire in December. I am hoping all my documents will get to Nmc by October ending. Can I still use my license.

secondly is it possible to get COS and start working in the Uk before you get you decision letter from Nmc Uk. Thanks

Yes, no.

Insightful

Two questions, both answered fully!

I'm assuming you mean them accepting your home registration status given it would expire soon after they receive the documents. It can take 40-70 days for them to assess your file and reach a decision, so if you send all docs by end of October, you might be in the decision queue still by December.

This actually happened to myself, so I just got my home country registration board to re-send the updated licence while still in the queue, if that makes sense.

Re your second question, I've heard it's possible to get a conditional COS and work as a pre-registered RN or HCA, but my understand is is that this is only allowed if you've received a confirmation to progress to OSCE stage. So, no, you have to wait.
