Any IPAMS applicants here for CTN? i got some questions regarding their final interview this coming june 15

@raissatongol. How did you receive a decision letter was it thru email?

Its because there are Some saying that NMC will not accept IDP ielts, that NMC will require UKVI. I tried using my idp result to register on nmc and got an eligibility. Would there be any problem during the next processs? Thanks..

you can still use it.... both for nmc and visa application.... if you took the ielts before april 6 2015, you can still use it.. however, for visa processing, its only valid until november 2015....

after that date april 2015 it should be the ukvi....

Hi,

I really have no idea and I can't give a figure for the timeline. They say I got in easily because I only had 1 hospital experience so it was easy for NMC to assess. But I think it's not the case since I also have other colleagues who also had 1 hospital experience like I do and they're still waiting. I don't know if I have mentioned it here or the other thread I'm also following, I passed CBT last Feb 27, passed the documentary requirements and online application by the first week of April and received the confirmation by April 16/18. I even got glitches on my online account and was not able to upload for almost a month. They say I just got lucky. :)

I notice you got confirmed easily. You are so lucky that was quick! By the way, how did you submit your downloaded documentary requirements? Did you send them to NMC all at once? Or did your school and PRC send them to NMC separate from the other documents?

@PinoyRN12

Hopefully we will get it soon..I rang them this morning and said it wad assessed already but the person I spoke to could not give a timeframe.

Lets just make use if this time to practice and rebiew for OSCE..for sure we will get there soon. :)

Hi Gsimps , would like to ask if it is possible to apply first as healthcare assistant in united kingdom and after that get the ielts there , to apply as a registered nurse , is health care assistant needs to pass the ielts first ? plsss need an answer .

Hi there, the admin is right, HCA is not in the skilled jobs category of the UKBA so there are rarely companies that sponsor working permits for HCA jobs. If you're moving to the UK on family grounds then yes you can work as HCA whilst applying for your registration.

Hello!

I've been reading threads and it's been giving me a lot of pointers as what to read for the CBT. did anyone take the exam this june? any additional pointers? I plan to take the exam next month and I am sooooooooo nervous and so overwhelmed by the blueprint. any suggestions on sample questions to review? I usually learn better by answering question. my email: [email protected]

another concern, my IELTS expired 2 days ago. I am from the old scheme and plan to transfer to new scheme. do I still need to get a 7.0 in all substests? :( and of course considering the fee...

Hi. Im not an expert but if youre IELTS is already expired you need to take UKVI and need to have 7 in all test. Thats what the agency told me. In my case, my regular IELTS is still valid and they encourge me to take the UKVI but they required me to have only 5 in all test which is great but still expensive though.

That's really sad I have to take it and review for it all over again... :banghead:

The multiple choice questions from the Royal Marsden Hospital Manual of Nursing Procedures student edition actually get repeated on the test ad verbatim as claimed by many of us here who have taken the test. Also, they seem to get questions from SCIE's Adult Safeguarding e-learning module.

As for how to tackle that blueprint (and general tips on passing the exam), I suggest reading this:

How to Pass the NMC Online Test for Nurses

Hello guys! I just want to clarify something. My Company Physician doesn't have any stamp available and I understand that she needs to confirm on her official letter headed paper that no stamp exists. Can she use her prescription pad as her "official letter headed paper" then?

Thanks to whoever who'll reply! :D
