Hi! I took my test on 31st March and passed yay! Thanks to all comments on here, was very helpful in prep for the test. How long does it take for the document assessment phase?

NurselukasNZ.. First, congratulations to you! How did you study? I am going to take the NMC Pearson Vue test in June or July.

Hi! I spent very little time on studying, just flicked through the NMC code and standards also had a look at the medications standards which I found very helpful. But as previous post say... Just read the question carefully! As the grammar is very questionable at times!! Think about patient safety and advocacy... Well basically think about patient centred care and you should be sweet! :-) there are some general nursing questions I got hit with also... So topics like COPD.. Ageing.. And cardiothoracics (basics) maybe good to review.

But a general evaluation of the test is that competence and common sense will pull anyone through :-)

hope that helps

Hey Guys,

So far, from the information Ive gathered from, no one has been able to sit the OSCE yet. So there's not a lot of information available on it. The University website does offer a video of the general sequence that the exam will follow, but other information is supposed to only be made available after you've scheduled your exam.

Im at the full assessment stage right now as well (well waiting for the NMC response). My online papers were submitted about 3 weeks ago and my other papers (those that need to be sent by post) were received a week ago. According to the NMC suggested timeline for processing it will take them 6-9 weeks to go through the papers and approve or decline them, or in some cases request for additional papers.

Has anyone been through this stage yet? If so, how long did it take for NMC to give you the approval to take the OSCE?

Hi. Im also on the assessment stage. Are you done uploading all your documents on your nmc account? Im having a problem with mine. It always ends up with network interrupted. Must be with my internet connection or the nmc website glitch. :(

Where are you at with your papers now? Has NMC received everything?

@NurselukasNZ,

Yes, it helps A Lot!! Thanks! I hope to take the test in the next few months. Please be sure to alert us of when you sit for your Clinical portion! Good luck to you.

Hello, can I ask for your email please? I am also in full assessment stage with the NMC. I'd like to ask some questions please :)

Hello puccafied,

NMC has received three of the verification forms. I will be sending the declaration of good health anytime this week.

Im still unable to upload all my documents on my account. Still getting a secure connection failed message. I emailed NMC about this, waiting for the reply.

Hmm I never had that problem during my submission, although during the time that I was completing the online forms, there were some times when their page seemed to have problems loading the scanned paper, but it was always a temporary problem. The NMC will usually take about a week to reply to email inquiries, if you can you may want to call them and inform them that you already sent an email as well. It may get you an earlier resolution, since im sure that the NMC email will be swamped with inquiries from everyone undergoing the new process.
