NMC and CGFNS problems

Back in the day when I needed info for a new employer in France they provided a document called a "Verification" which I had to pay for. This turned  out to be the wrong document as they had mis-advised me. I subsequently wrote an old fashioned letter and got the approriate response leading to them eventually  providing the information my employer needed.

My past experience of the NMC is that many of the staff are not terribly bright and I'm pretty sure they work to an algorythm and hence don't think out of the box. Perhaps if you write explaining the situation as I did, somebody may take the time to actually read it rather than just giving you the standard telephone answers they seem to throw out without thinking.

They are not the most user-friendly organisation to deal with and for the extortionate registration fee, it's frankly disgusting. Good luck!

Thanks for your response. Hoping I have it sorted. I phoned back and got a different call handler who was very helpful. I can actually request verification through my NMC online account and they will send a copy to the CGFNS directly but was also advised just to upload it to my CGFNS portal

Good to know if I have any issues once it’s going through the processing stage 

Hi can you teach me how you did the license verification bit through CGFNS because I am also struggling with my license endorsement.

I logged into my CGFNS account and went into the message centre. I uploaded my verification to a message and sent it to them there. If you are a registered nurse with the NMC in the UK, when you request a CPPS they will send it directly to the organisation you chose - I selected the PA BON and CGFNS.

Hi , I m a nurse in Ireland . Did CGFNS accept the CCPS from NMC ? I called and emailed NMBI and they told me CGFNS is well aware that they do not fill out forms either .I m registered with 2 countries so the other country said the same , they will not fill out the forms , instead they will issue me the CCPS report . I m lost because CGFNS doe not give clear instructions . Every country works differently

sorry if I'm being stupid but what is the uploaded verification? Is that the high school certificates and nursing license documents?

The nursing license verification.

I spoke to someone at cgfns today about it and they seem to be aware NMC would not fill out forms and have no problem with it

Update!

I have just checked my profile and seen that the CCPS has been received by CGFNS from NMC as I requested it to be sent directly to them. I also uploaded it on my cgfns portal and gave them a call so they know it's there
